About NEXTGEN

NEXTGEN was founded by Chinedu and Ngongo Samuel, motivated by their desire and passion to impact on young and the rural poor. These sets of people are regarded as endangered species as they bear the brunt of misrule and corruption of the elite and ruling class.

Our Projects

Besides other internally-funded projects, the following projects have been implemented with external funds from donor organisations:

TY Danjuma Foundation Small Hold Community Library

Amount: N2,000,000.00 Location: Ewu, Edo State
  • Young people sensitized on the importance of Library use
  • Provision of Library book, desks, shelves, photocopier and Computers for use
  • Library flagged off by the State Ministry of Education

WORLD BANK¨CASSISTED HIV/AIDS FUNDS 11

Amount: N7,400,000.00 Location: Esan, Edo State
  • Training of150 Peer Educators
  • Peer education held for 2000 individuals
  • Distribution of over 4000 condoms, 200 lubricants etc
  • Screening of over 500 persons with referrals for positive cases

LEAP AFRICA'S YOUTH DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING PROGRAMME

Amount: N1,500,000.00 Location: Benin City, Edo State
  • Training of 200 young people in leadership and Volunteerism
  • Volunteering activities/projects in their communities

LIFT ABOVE POVERTY ORGANIZATION'S (LAPO) CANCER AWARENESS

Amount: N700,000.00 Location: Ekpoma, Edo State
  • Awareness raising & enlightenment of over 4000 community dwellers
  • IEC materials distributed and Referrals made for suspected cases of cancer

GOOGLE'S AFRICA CODE WEEK PROJECT

Amount: $10000.00 Location: Benin City, Edo State
  • Training of young people especially females on Coding

TRAINING OF TRAINERS FOR GOOGLE'S AFRICA CODE WEEK PROJECT

Amount: $1,000.00 Location: Ibadan, Oyo State
  • Training of 120 Trainers who trained 1000 students on Coding

TY DANJUMA FOUNDATION COMMUNITY CANCER AWARENESS/SCREENING AND TRAINING OF HEALTH WORKERS

Amount: N3,000,000.00 Location: Esan North East, Edo State
  • Training of Health workers on alternative screening methods
  • Awareness raising on Cancer among rural dwellers.
  • Training of young people especially females on Coding

Amount: N4,000,000.00 Location: Orhionmwon, Edo State
  • Training of young people especially females on Coding
  • Training of Health workers on alternative screening methods
  • Awareness raising on Cancer among rural dwellers.
  • Distribution of IEC material
  • Screening of persons for Breast, Cervical & Prostate Cancers.
  • Deployment of and training on the use of Cryotherapy Machine. Referrals

  • Training of Health Workers on modern approaches to MCH
  • Facelift of selected Primary Health Centres (PHCs)

  • ˇ¤ More patronage of services at PHCs
  • Training TBAs

  • Promotion of the SDGs through an app and website
  • Sensitisation on the SDGs in 20 schools reaching 2,756 young people ˇ¤ Establishment of NEXTGEN Digital/Innovation Hub
  • Training of 2055 young people on digital & soft skills etc
  • Planting of 400 trees in schools, churches and communities
